Senior Firmware Engineer – NAND Storage Solutions

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Firmware Engineer to join our Storage Platforms team. In this role, you will design and develop firmware for next-generation NAND flash storage products, enabling high-performance, reliable, and scalable solutions used worldwide.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize embedded firmware for NAND-based storage devices (SSD, eMMC, UFS)
• Collaborate with hardware, system architecture, and validation teams to define firmware requirements
• Implement algorithms for wear leveling, error correction (ECC), and data integrity
• Debug complex system-level issues and improve performance bottlenecks
• Contribute to architecture discussions and technical roadmaps
• Participate in code reviews and ensure high-quality software standards
  
  

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field
• 5+ years of experience in embedded systems or firmware development
• Strong programming skills in C/C++
• Experience with RTOS or low-level system programming
• Familiarity with NAND flash memory concepts and storage protocols
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with SSD firmware or storage controllers
• Knowledge of NVMe, PCIe, or SATA protocols
• Debugging experience using hardware tools (JTAG, logic analyzers)
• Understanding of file systems and data structures
